In the metabox at the bottom of the editor, you’ll be able to select where your field group will appear in the WordPress admin.
Select the main location
Modern Fields offer a large variety of choices. Start by selecting the main location.
Current available locations are:
- Pages
- Posts
- Post types
- Media
- Users
- Taxonomies
- Options pages
- Block (soon…)
Select the scope
Each location has a différent set of sub options to select precisely where you want your group to show. For example, on Posts location, you’ll be able to select specific posts, categories or post status.
You’ll be able to select where to put the fields group in the editor.
- Metabox
- Sidebar
- Separate panel
- Modal
Select the role
Finally, you’ll be asked to select roles that can see the fields group and edit its values. All default WordPress roles and custom roles registered by plugins or the theme are available.
Once the rule is complete, save your group field and check that the enabled button is turned on on the sidebar.
You should now see your fields group at the choosen location.
